The Welsh Government has announced a £50,000 donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Venezuela Earthquake Appeal, following the devastating twin earthquakes that struck the country last week.

• Expert group meets for the first time to help shape expansion of funded childcare for children aged nine months to four years in Wales. 
• The group will focus on workforce planning, improving access and simplifying systems. 
• Establishing the group was a First 100 Days commitment and it will work alongside a Welsh Government childcare taskforce to support the phased rollout. 

• £55 million childcare investment.
• This is a phased rollout as part of the Welsh Government's commitment to deliver the most generous childcare offer anywhere in the UK.
• Wrexham has joined Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil and Newport in expanding the offer to all two-year-olds in their areas.
