First Minister Mark Drakeford today announced tough new measures to slow the spread of coronavirus in Wales and save lives.

Caravan parks, campsites, tourist hotspots and popular beauty spots will be closed to visitors from today.

As the coronavirus pandemic continue to progress, pressure on all our NHS services will increase. We have put together five simple steps to help you get the right healthcare and support, while also helping your local GP practice.

A new database of coal tip sites in Wales and a free helpline have been set up following the damage caused by the February floods.

People across the country praised for helping each other safely.

1. The latest scientific advice

The most recent scientific advice on how to further limit the spread of COVID-19 is clear.  

Everyone must, as far as possible, minimise social contact and make sure that anyone who is particularly vulnerable to the virus is able to adopt strict social distancing. 

Emergency legislation to protect renters and landlords affected by COVID-19 will apply to Wales, Minister for Housing and Local Government, Julie James has confirmed.

Self-isolation for those who have symptoms and social distancing by everyone is absolutely essential at this stage if we are to delay the spread of this virus and save lives.
